I have a very nice stainless steel surround around the J gate. It is fixed in place with 4 screws. These are deeply countersunk into the surround. The previous owner obviously lost these screws and replaced them with some ugly black wood screws. The original screws have a hex head which is very deep and fits right into the deeply countersunk holes in the surround. I am usually pretty good and finding stuff on the internet but I have failed to find these screws. Does anyone know where I can source them?
These screws have deep heads but no taper. This way when they are screwed in they are flush with the rest of the surround. Believe me I have tried hardware stores and the internet.
I managed to find these but they are too big.
It’s only a detail but sometimes the details just finish things off properly.
Thanks your link lead me to correct naming for these sort of screws and then I found they are often referred to as Speaker Screws. Just placed an order. Hope these fit nicely.
