Question Getting The Grease Right

Changing the front and rear hub bearings and races and looking for a high temp and pressure grease replacement. Can not find anything specified in my manual for my 1999 XK8. When I tore down the existing ones I found much of the grease was gone from seepage out the rear seal where it built up as a black paste on the hub. A small amount in the front bearing race was still visible it was an off white in colour. Either way the grease had not performed well. In the spline I found barley any grease at all but I did find a light green film that had filled the grooves of the spline. It had semi-crystallized. Not sure what that was or what I should use in the reassembly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The halfshaft splines? That would be more like Loctite.

JTIS may have a reference to a particular grease.

Yes the half shaft splines. Locktight seems a little much given everything bolts up tight as a unit. I will check the repair manual maybe they identify it.
