Default Getting there with XK8 restoration/ck engine light

How do I reset the ck engine light and on the right side (opposite the ck. engine light) there is a red light on. What does that signal and how do I get rid of that?

You need a OBDII reader to reset the light however you need to read the codes first to see why the light is on. The red light is telling you something is wrong, also the red light will be on if your parking brake is on.

Look in the Section at the beginning of the Forum and download the Manual for your year, that will explain where and what all the lights are. Your local auto parts store will read the codes, but I don't think they will erase them. A good investment on these cars is to get a good OBD ll reader and if you can afford the Jaguar pacific one, even better.

Yea you need to get that check light code pulled, the red light could be part of a bigger problem.
