So after 18months of ownership I have parted with my beloved XK8 for a 2010 Vantage.

I am not sure if I will love the Vantage as much as the XK8, first impressions are mixed, certainly the cabin of my 4.2-S which was in pristine order felt more luxurious and better appointed than the Vantage one.

Obviously the performance and overall driving experience cannot be compared but these XK8's / R's are probably the best value for money GTs and stand their own against much newer and expensive vehicles.

I see you have the V8 version. Bellissima! Well ... the engine is derived dall'AJV8 Jaguar ... therefore you have not yet got rid of us!

Enjoy. My brother-in-law has a 2009 Vantage that he uses primarily as a summertime toy. He's owned the car for about three years now and seems very happy with it....

 

The Vantage looks beautiful. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

However, you won't find an equivalent 'hands-on' AM forum like this one.
