GPS acting a little strange
Sometimes when I start the car, the GPS screen does not fire up. Nobody home. No clock. No cute Jaguar. No nothing. Except I can sort of see the screen is faintly lit, but not displaying anything. Pressing buttons gets you nowhere.
Happens about every fifth time you start the car. Works fine all other times.
Frankly, the only useful information in this device is the clock. The GPS is useless. Doesn't even tell me the name of streets as I approach them. My low end five year old Garmin does much better. But I do like the clock and the picture of the Jaguar. Can't believe people paid big bucks for this option.
Any ideas what could cause this? How to fix it? Worth bothering with?
Thanks,
Jack

I've noticed that if I turn on the key, turn it off, then turn it back on (to start the car or whatever) the nav systems doesn't work sometimes. I think it has to do with the rapid on-off-on cycle. I've learned that if I just leave the key off for 30 seconds or so the nav system comes back on just fine.
