Default GREEN centre console illumination needs BLUE bulbs?

I ordered some bulbs from a Jaguar dealer in the UK, as one of my climate control display bulbs has blown. Strange thing is, the bulbs I received appear to be blue.

Before I start dismantling the centre console, can anyone confirm this? Has the dealer sent me the right bulbs?

There's two different colours of bulb used in the Aircon Control Panel:

Seven Blue and two Green. As far as I can recall, the colour is a sleeve over the bulb and not coloured glass.

Thanks, Graham. The bulbs I have are JLM11965, n°2 in the diagram above. They appear to be clear bulbs with a blue sleeve on them. From the diagram, it would appear to be the correct bulb, but why blue when everything else in the dash is back lit green?

It's a while since I've done a bulb change on the Aircon but I remember even my local Jaguar Dealer (Stratstone) wasn't certain of the Blue/Green locations when I got them and there isn't a diagram in JTIS.

Mine had Blue except for the ones illuminating the Temperature Selection arrows in the centre which were green. I suspect it may not make a whole lot of difference.

I've got a DSC switch panel (the one below the Aircon) on my desk at the moment. It has six bulbs - five Blue and one White behind the Hazard switch.

Believe it or not the blue bulbs result in the green lighting. They are correct.

Steve beat me to it. Yellowish color temp filament bulb + blue 'condom' = green light.
