After struggling with only having a Green Key and not being able to open the Trunk easily when battery died. I decided to try and get a Key that would at least allow me to unlock the Trunk when the Battery was dead. Could not find anyone locally to cut the Key. One of the local Locksmiths took a picture of the Key I had and send it to a Locksmith in Atlanta. First key that we got back didn't work. Locksmiths decided it was cut wrong. Second Key that was sent worked but not before lubricating the Lock and playing with it for a while. I can now open the Trunk with that key. Local Locksmith then tried the Green Key that came with the Car. It also will unlock the Trunk now that the lock has been lubricated. The local Locksmith will program the new Key so I can start the Car with it. I don't if a PO modified the Green Key but it sure is nice to have a Key that will open the Trunk.

 

The difference between the black MASTER and green VALET key is in the section marked in red at the tip:




On the MASTER key the diameter is reduced which explains how a VALET key can be converted to a MASTER key.
