Green warning light
Hi guys, You know the green warning light in the instrument panel on the right hand cluster that warns that the lights are on. Well it doesn't come on anymore, yet the lights all work. I've checked the cluster, but it's not a bulb. It doesn't light up during the system check.
So what's going on here... no lights out anywhere and warning if door open and lights on sounds just fine?
I've changed the stalk, and that makes no difference, and I can't see on the wiring diagram where this light get's it's power from.

I had the same thing happen on my 2000MY X308 and I removed the INSPK to inspect.
I saw that it was an LED on the circuit board so I just put it back together.(not want to mess with the circuit board)
A few weeks later I was driving the car and the light was ON when the headlamps came on.
No idea why it did not work and now it does?

Replacement gauge clusters are available on eBay for around $100, BUT, the vehicles mileage is stored in the cluster. If you have a car with 80K miles and you replace it with one from a car with 180K miles, the value of your car instantly drop by about 80%. Trying to explain to a buyer that the gauge cluster was replaced is going to be a hard sell. Try to find one with as few miles on the odometer as possible.
That's assuming that the headlight LED is important to you.
