Lose the quad headlights and I'm in. The wires don't really compliment the car...and normally I like wires.

I actually dont mind the quad lamps here -- i dont think its an improvement per se, and its not historically accurate, but i dont find it a detriment.

While i love Jags, the overall marque, its history, I do wonder sometimes about their current marketing and product strategy. Leaving an AWD product gap for years ( 2009 -2013) when other marques were moving forward on this front was a mistake, IMV, though they are finally getting some sense for 2013 it appears. And abandoning much of their classic styling was also a huge step back.

From a marketing/demographic point of view, the problem with something like this , is that it will always feel less than genuine no matter how much money you can afford to have a custom one-off.

If I were Jaguar, I'd seriously consider re-introducing the E-type body. It would no doubt sell, and the marque could own and reclaim its legacy, instead of surrendering it to to high end copycats. From a marketing/PR point of view, it's essenial to own and control your brand and narrative.

I agree with much of what you said. Jag made a mistake when the moved away from their classic styling. There is no way I'd buy one of the new Jags; it's just too much like so many other cars on the road today. The thing that was always so great abouty a Jag was that it was unique. You could tell it was a Jag from a distance just by it's lines. Now, the only way to tell is to get up close and read the name on the trunk.
