Question H do you keep xk8 rearview mirror attached

1997 XK8. I can't figure out how to tighten my rear view mirror Keep it from sliding out of the fixture?

eBay had a seller that had Honda/ Acura Magna Donnelly mirror bracket spring clips. (NIB)
You can try to bend the spring arms BUT.......... Careful, they snap if over extended.

They are NSS from Jaguar parts dept.

^^ What is "NSS"? My guess is "not sold separately"....

If you are referring to the holder that attaches the mirror to the windshield, there should be a small 'hex' screw on the holder that tightens to put pressure on the lug that is glued to the windshield.

NSS = Not Sold (or SERVICED) Separately.

Bill, sounds like the key remains attached to windshield, just not enough friction/tension to immobilize it.

Bob's recommendation to bend it id the final / best / permanent solution but this works when you're in jam.
