Through all these suggestions and weaving through the significant differences in fuel sytems across years and R vs X I've never solved my intermittent long crank starting issue. I can not resolve it. Is it just these cars are inconsistent starters? It's very frustrating.

What have you done via OBD?

Not that. It's always due to a fault.

I've tracked about everything electronically trackable via OBD, cleaned MAF, 2 hard resets. No lights, no messages, no warnings. The only thing I've not done is drive much since resets. Onky driven 15 to 20 minutes once and a few minutes second. (It's raining a lot here and it doesn't go out in rain or on wet roads) .

It's a fueling problem. I'd bet my pinky toe!

Got P1111?

If not, which OBD monitors are unhappy?

That's encouraging.

If things like IAT & ECT are plausible values (the car just has to trust them, you can go by how hot you know the environment is), then it probably means it's something like an intermittent signal or an air leak that is only sometimes there. Or an ailing fuel pump. Or... well, the other things involved in starting
