Has anyone fitted parrots UNIKA to an xk8
I'm thinking of selling my Jvc kd-avx77 and reverting to the origonal headunit and look.
But with a parrot mki9000 (no screen).
The clincher would be getting the system to work with the steering wheel controls. The additional piece of parrot kit to do this is a UNIKA.
My simple question is has anyone got it to work on one of our cars?
thanks

yes you can switch between radio and parrott.Basically the parrott replaces the cd changer which is not very good anyway as you only have to go over a cigarette butt and it jumps. The volume works and you can change the stations. You get a small wireless remote to switch the tracks on the parrott.I use a usb stick with about 2500 tracks on and it sounds just as good as the cd changer and it goes through the amp.

its very simple to install with a couple of 2.5 jacks and sockets. Also the car can be retured to standard if need be.You just have to splice into the cd changer lead and run a cable into the center console. The only thing you have to do is have a cd in the changer playing all the time which is no problem.
