Default Has anyone swapped the headunit on an xk8 with the alpine system?

Hey guys,

Looking to swap my headunit for something more modern. My CD changer in rear skips horribly. I happen to have a headunit.

Considering this is a convertible, the sound quality of the Alpine stereo is acceptable. Has anyone managed to wire up a headunit and have it work with the alpine stereo? Is there a harness I can use from nexxia or something?

Thanks in advance,

George

Hi

Yes the cables do exist and it can keep the steering wheel remote working, follow this link for details https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ontrols-56937/

If you have the Alpine premium system, you may struggle getting the amp and CD changer to work with the new head unit but by the sounds of it the CD changer has had it anyway.
