2005 XK8. Right Side Dim Headlight not working. Changed bulb. Still not working. Check Fuses and they are OK. High Beam works. Does Ballast only furnish power to Dim Headlight?

 

Yes, ballast is low beam only. High beam won't be affected by bad ballast.

Diagnosis is cheaper than throwing parts at the problem.

I would swap the igniter and bulb separately to the other side for conformation of the defective part.(one of them will likely NOT work)

Customers appreciate only replacing the defective component instead of the 'shotgun' approach.(just buy and replace EVERYTHING to be sure)

Just trying to save you money.

 

Did as Motorman suggest. Seems the igniter is bad on passenger's side. I have tried doing searches and can't find a source to buy new Igniter. Anyone know where I can get one or do I have to buy whole Headlight assembly?
