Default Headlight washer adjustment

When the headlight washers are activated I get quite a bit of over-spray onto the hood of my XKR. Is there a way of adjusting the spray pattern to avoid this problem?

I did a search and I couldn't find this issue addressed in an earlier thread. Thanks in advance.

Any way you can take a quick video of the jets in action so we can see? If you have a video option on your point n shoot, then upload to photobucket and a link?

Thanks, H2O. I'm going to be traveling this week but when I get back I'll see if I can do that.

I recently went the rounds with my windshield washers. In testing I too found that the headlamp washers sprayed quite well and actually could go all the way up to my windshield. When I was dismantling the system it looks as though a larger washer line and pump is attached to the headlamp washers so there is more pressure to them. Not sure if it gives you any comfort knowing someone else's washers exhibit the same issue or not but I thought I would throw in my 2 cents.

Misery loves company.

Hopefully, we'll come up with afix as it can be a little frustrating to watch the hood sprayed with a soapy/alcohol and water solution after washing the car.

I have had a number of XKR"S a 2000, 2002, 2006, and now I have
a 2008, Not trying to brag, just pointing out that I had the same problem with all
of them. Dealer could not do anything, I think that because of the powerfull
jets and the angle of the lights there is always going to be quite a bit of overspray.

The washers are always adjusted for use 'at speed'. If you use them while not moving they will probably spray too high.
