Default Headliner - change of color

On my XKR Coupe Silver with black interiour I have to renew the grey colored headliner.

I'm thinking about changing it our with black (alcantara)

Any opinions/ideas are welcome
will it be too dark inside?

I have gone for the dark grey alcantara headliner option on a couple of new cars I have ordered in the past (BMWs) and have found it to look nicer and darken the interior a lot less than I expected.

Dark Grey sounds like a plan, did you do the A-pillars as well?

I just did this in my Jeep Cherokee, only I did the opposite. The Jeep has a burgundy interior with creme and burgundy plaid seats. I like a light interior so I used a light creme canvas. I also re-covered the sun visors (which was a real pain) and used some burgundy piping to bring a little burgundy back to the roof and make the whole thing look a little more factory. I recommend the strongest spray adhesive you can find.

Here are a few (terrible quality) pictures:

For reference, here are the seats:

@xkracer:
I suppose you've got a black interiour/dash as well?

How about the A-pillar covers, will you do them in dark grey too?

I am changing my entire interior over from Biscuit to Black Recaro, the dash will be painted, even though I have a black dash I could fit it is a serious PITA to do and will go for the easy option.

But I will do all A pillars and maybe inlay some into my door cards to tie everything in
