Default HELP - hydraulic line broke

Line broke last night at the latch, I secured the latch but I cannot get my rear windows to close.

How do you get the stupid windows to close?

I have secured the roof using a allen wrench and turned it as far as I could counter-clockwise, all the happens when I press the roof close button is more fluid dripping down.

Also, who sells replacement hoses and do I need to get both hoses or just replace the broken hose?

Randy search the forum for "Green Shower" or "hydraulic hose".
Much has been written about your problem.

I replied to this early this morning but it seems to have disappeared now. Anyway, the rear windows are controlled by 4 relays in the trunk fuse/relay box. They are the half size ones. The pair on the left control the left window, right relay, right side. The forward ones are 'up', the rear ones down. Pull the two 'up' relays and using the schematic on the relay cover jump the relay contacts and the window will come up. That's all there is to it.

Go to GUS's repair website. He helped develop replacement hoses that are superior and cheaper than Jaguar hoses. By all means replace both. You will not want to do this twice.

With top-down weather now upon us in much of the U.S., I will be paying close attention to owners reporting their hose failures here on the forum. My wife is less gun-shy now about the green shower than she was when we purchased her XK8 in early February. She now drops the top a couple of days a week. The ragtop weather is gradually winning out over her fear of taking the green shower far from home....

Release two clips at the front end of the plastic cover to remove it.
