Default Help id seat maker

I am uncertain about the maker of my seats. How do you recognize Recaro products? Thanks.

GGG showed an earlier version. 2003 standard seats had a separate headrest like:

I think the Recaro may have Recaro embossed somewhere.

Mystery solved. Seller fibbed! Appears I have the earlier 2003 standard seats. I appreciate the help! Separate headrests are just out of the image.

Yup, not Recaro, but those look in really good shape.

What's going on at the seat release knob about shoulder height?

Very perceptive and I am embarrassed to admit I have no clue. I'll check that out in the morning.

Cool

Charbinjr, Your seats look exactly like the seats that came in my 2005 XKR. Jaguar calls the color Ivory. I saw something about the Headrest not moving up or down because of a cable in the back of the seat is too short or something to that effect and Jaguar had a recall or something like that telling you how to repair it.....I'm too lazy to do it, as I never use the Headrest anyway.....Maybe someone on the Forum will remember what to do if you want to repair it.....Seems like it was 2 or 3 pages long!! Anybody out there remember?
There again, the recall may have applied only to 2005...but the seats are identical.

Thanks Billy. I am aware and have that problem. Think I'll run the cat by the local dealers service department and see if it was a recall or just a service issue. Can't hurt.

The headrest issue is not a recall, but a TSB. The cable has an outer sheath that gets extended and needs to be trimmed. There are a few threads with step by step procedures and even a replacement cable solution.

Thanks dsd! Amazing that there's a Thread about 10 down from this one by Reverend Sam or someone, which shows a You Tube movie of how to repair this problem...I know that there's several messages on it's repair on the Site....I need to have the Left Leg-Cushion replaced on my Driver's seat and the Leather cleaned-up a little, so when I take it to my Upholstery Shop friend Joel, I'll have him fix the Headrest problem.....
Thanks again!
