Default Top Cover

My car did not come with the cover for the Top. Should it be the same color as the Seats, the Top or can it just be Black?

Whatever color works for you is fine. These tonneau covers are easily interchangeable and black goes with anything so if you find a deal, grab it....

Honestly, I think the majority rarely use it so I wouldn't pay a ton for one.

OK. Thanks. I haven't decided if I'm even going to get on yet.

Be careful, even if the used cover that you purchase is in good condition, there is often deterioration in the underside foam which will give your interior a nice powdering of fine black dust.

I do use mine regularly. I like the smoother lines of the car when it is on instead of the mechanism ribs showing. It also keeps the interior of the roof from flapping at speed and it stops the roof from becoming a rear spoiler.

I wouldn't drive around the block (big blocks out here) without the tonneau in place. Dust and road grime are attracted to the headliner as to a magnet, and while the windshield turbulence neatly misses the front seat cockpit, a 60 mph airflow can catch the top like a sail and...

Ditto on the disintegrating foam.

My interior is a very light tan. The light tan cover has a small gouge in it so I bought a black cover via EBay ($75) My plan is to spray dye the black one to dark blue eventually to go better with the light blue color of my car. I use the cover when I take a trip out of town. In town, because I raise the top when I park, I rarely use it.

Agree with this comment except I never use mine, drop the top every chance I get but am to lazy to get out the cover and put it on, also normally put the top up as I enter my driveway so that would be a hassle for me. My liner is a little dirty but after 4 years have not noticed much more wear or dirt. I also only drive short trips, normally 15 to 20 miles at the most and all under 55 mph.
