My glass case fell on the passenger side floor this morning (which is on the right side here for all you Brits) and while I was looking around I noticed a rubbery piece of something hanging down. The location was where the carpeting extends up along where the firewall would be and the piece seemed to be coming from the underscuttle area. If you imagine being a passenger and extend your left foot as far forward and upward as possible, that is where this chunk of rubber is.

I tried to push it up but it keeps flopping down. If necessary, I could take a picture but I was hoping that someone here knows right away what this is and how to secure it.

I don't know if I will bother with the pix as I got upside down under the scuttle yesterday to investigate closer (and got nauseous in the process) and found that there is a sort of rubbery/foam filler piece (about 1" thick) that runs along this area (from about the center hump all the way to the door). This piece includes several cut-outs or flaps to access various wire harnesses that are tucked above. One of these flaps had been pushed down by the wires, above, so I just crammed everything back in place. I hesitate to contort myself upside down to get in this area again as doing so results in my being nauseous for a while after wards.
