Was heading home after supper at fav restaurant. Got 1/4 mile or so down the road and my 2002 XK8 just shut down. I coasted to the side of the road and tried to restart, checked fuel-had fuel, would fire but not start. Finally started but very rough idle. Would not respond to throttle at all. Is sitting in driveway after a ride on a rollback. Help!!

Have you ever changed your fuel filter? A clogged filter can slowly kill the fuel pump in these cars....

Jon's suggestion would also be my first thought from the symptoms you describe.
My second thought would be to put a code reader on it.
