Default Help Us Help You

I would like to suggest that if you have a problem and you need assistance or input please start a new thread. Hijacking another thread does not help you when your problem might be the same it also does not give you reason to tell us the real things that are taking place on your car. So PLEASE start another thread!

Default New or even similar problem? Start a NEW thread.

Very welcome and overdue Gus . . .

It is not just the resurrecting of long dead issues, or even "My problem sounds like yours" . . . it inhibits resolving and moving on from the OP's problem; it cannot readily address or resolve a newly posted issue and . . . it makes for frustrating reading for those searching threads and posts for info and solutions to their issues, and those of us trying to help.

May I add, put the CAR/YEAR info in your sig line so we know what you are driving.
Also when you do start a thread title it SPECIFIC to your problem, like "02 XK8 FRONT END CLUNKING" instead of "my car is making noises". Any time you can make a thread subject line Specific to your issue, stating the issue, it can make it for easy the next person to search the site and find the same issue they may be having. And to that point always SEARCH for your issue before posting it, most likely it has been covered here by now. If there are many threads when you search and you are confused then start a new thread.
Also do your self a favor and get a OBDII code reader, it can be your best friend. If you have an Android phone get the TORQUE PRO app and buy the ELM327 blue tooth reader from ebay, about a 15 buck investment in total.

I must add that a code reader OBDII gives you a code or codes that is not telling you what part to fix it is a tool that guides you to the problem with the proper interpretation.
