Hi gloss carbon fiber wrap.

Hi gloss carbon fiber wrap.
Just wondering if anyone has used the high gloss carbon fiber wrap. I ordered it and it looks fantastic but I had trouble getting it to stay down around the edges. There's no way to wrap around the back on the center shifter console since its wood and too porous. Nothing to stick too! I've tried heating it and maybe it wasn't hot enough. It's not 3m and it has channels to allow air to be pushed out so I'm wondering if it could be doing the reverse and allow I've air to creep back under the edges.
The 3m brushed titanium goes on like butter but I REALLY want the bronze and black carbon I have. Matches exterior perfectly!!

The wrap material does have the channels for air release. It's made for tight corners, but if it's not laying down there probably isn't enough material on the edge side to help keep it from lifting. Also if the piece you install it on isn't completely clean on the edges it would have difficulty adhering. You might not see if FDC's 003 4828 carbon fiber might work. It's 3mm thick. I don't know if it will stick better but it doesn't have the air release channels. My color chip is kind of chocolate in color.
