I havent taken the plunge and got my xk yet but i would love a xkr i have around 13k to spend , i own a clk 1999 mercedes ATM.

i am being put off by the rust , corrosion horror stories, are they true , and how can i avoid sinking over 11k into a car that might end up rotten and fail a mot badly?

Can anyone reccomend a trusted garage that has good cars.

i know the 4.2 are supposed to be far better cars , but is a good 4.0 that has had the tentioners and waterpump done just as good , or is the 4.2 worth the extra cash ?
