Default How to access dash speaker wiring.......

Have a 2001 XK8 with Premium Alpine system. It has mid-range speakers on the front dash. I want to access the wiring to these speakers somewhere underneath the dash or wherever they can be accessed. I've looked at the wiring diagram, but cannot quite figure out where to access the wiring for these speakers. My desire is to amplify these speaker separately to create a 3-way active system utilizing the door tweeters, dash speaker and door mid-bass speakers. If anyone knows where to access the wiring to the dash speakers, any help is greatly appreciated.

As I recall from fitting a new Solar sensor for which the harness is accessed through the same speaker aperture on the dash, the speaker harness is tightly packed in foam with little movement.

Can you not get to it where it emerges in the harness bundled behind the radio?

As you have seen from the wiring diagram, the fascia speakers and door speakers are fed by separate wires from the amplifer in the boot (trunk). I can see what you're aiming for, but wouldn't you get *nearly* the same result with a 2 way active network for door / fascia speakers, and a passive filter for the door tweeters which, as you have seen, are fed by the same wires as the fascia speakers. In that case, everything can be accessed from the amplifier in the boot (trunk). Alternatively, it might be just as quick to isolate the tweeters at the door connector (i.e. cut existing wires), and feed a new pair of wires back to the trunk - you would probably have to do that anyway to achieve what you want to do ?

Thanks to both of you...exactly what I was looking for. I would prefer to just isolate the speaker wires for the dash speakers...probably from the harness behind the radio. Now if I can just figure out which wires in the harness feed the left and right dash speakers. I want to isolate those two speakers, once I figure out from the wiring diagram which color wires feed each dash speaker from the harness behind the radio, connect a new run of wire from those speakers to the amplifier in the trunk. Then I can connect the door speakers, tweeters, and dash speakers seperately to independent channels on an aftermarket amplifier to create a 3-way active network. (High, mid and low front stage.). Now I have to just figure out what color wires in that harness feed the left and right dash speakers.
I really appreciate all the expertise on this forum. You guys are the best!

LH Fascia Speaker: (+) = NG (Brown with Green trace)
LH Fascia Speaker: (-) = OG (Orange with Green trace)
RH Fascia Speaker: (+) = O (Orange)
