Default How to adjust headlight & fog light beam (MOT advisory)?

My XKR sailed through its biannual contrôle technique (French MOT) this afternoon, except for a minor advisory regarding the lights. One of the headlight beams is slightly too low and both fog lights are slightly too high.

It's not vital, but I thought I may as well set them correctly, if possible. I have a suspicion the fog lights won't be adjustable, but can the xenons be done easily?

The self leveling HID's have an adjuster on the top of the Headlamp Leveling Motor:

I didn't expect the Fog Lights to have any adjustment but it looks as if the screw (arrowed in red) may allow some vertical alignment:

It's also possible the Fog Light may have worked loose and just needs tightening.

Thanks, Graham. I knew I could rely on you for the solution. I will look into it tomorrow :-)

Adjusted my headlight this morning. Took all of 10 seconds with an Allen key. I couldn't be bothered to do the fog lights, as I would probably have had to remove the front wheels and I haven't used them once in the 2 years I've owned the car.

Thanks again for your help, Graham.

You might not have to take the wheels off but likely would need to take the wheel liner out to be able to see what you are doing and reach the screw.

You might also be able to do it with just the undertray removed if you don't mind laying on the floor, with dirt raining in your face, and getting up and down 20 times to check the adjustment.

+1 For never turning them on.
