Default HOW TO: Adjust Windows to Eliminate Wind Noise (Video)FAQ

After I got done replacing the door latch I had to adjust the window. I had intentionally mis-adjusted it while the door microswitch wasn't working so that it wasn't banging on the A-pillar. Now that I've replaced the microswitch I can adjust the window properly. This video shows how to adjust it.

NOTE!: A couple of posts down below, Dennis pointed out the it isn't necessary to remove the door panel to access the in/out adjustment. You can get to it just by taking off the lens to the puddle light on the bottom rear corner of the door.

Great job Sam. This is something I haven't even considered doing yet, but will probably be necessary at some point. Thanks for a great post.

Nice job, Sam

Would it be worth adding a notation that the in/out adjustment can be made withour removing the door panels?

By removing the lens covering the light at the lower read corner of the door, you can get to the adjuster.

Thanks, Dennis. I wasn't aware of that. I made a note in the original post up above in case someone just watches the video without reading through all of the follow-up posts.

Very good Reverend, I noticed you didn't mention the other 'glass tilt' adjustment next to the speaker also...in case you are happy with the lower part of the glass near the b-pillar, you can bring in just the top corner by adjusting that front tilt bolt. So many adjustments, I can see how this can get ugly real fast if one does not know what does what.

I was wondering where the entire glass stop bolt was located, I found the 'drop' stop, but not the 'all' stop. Mine needs to go up a bit.

I also found my 1/4 glass was stopping prematurely, possibly too tight of a seal at the top...but a little tug brought it up a bit, sealing that gap I was chasing...and instead of bringing angling the glass down to meet the 1/4 glass, I'm now going to make sure that rear glass travels up fully. Not sure how yet though....

This TSB describes the correct position for the front door glass height. I thought it might be a useful supplement to Sam's excellent video.
