I searched the Technical Service manual for my year Jaguar but could not find any fault diagnostics for the rear window defroster. Has anyone here know where to look for faults?

With car running press the rear window defroster (coupe), button lights up, after some minutes of driving, the rear window remains unheated. The button light stays lit until i manually push it again.Originally Posted by bladerunner919
What is the exact fault? Does the dash light come on when you press the button?

Yup. Checked the fuse and it was good. I also connected a volt meter to the connector on the window itself and no juice is reaching the window.Originally Posted by bladerunner919
Have you checked the fuse? I believe it's fuse 17 in the boot/trunk fusebox.

after you check everything above, carefully check for current at the grid itself where it is connected at the window. sometimes the grid is damaged and the circuit is broken. once i repaired a connection by painting the lines with a conductive paint made for this purpose. look carefully and see if there are any slight scratches through the grid lines at the connection points.

Yes, actually. First place I looked. And I checked all the other fuses there too.Originally Posted by GGG

I connected a voltmeter to the connector at the window and found no power. So, once I get power to the window connector I won't be able to confirm the heating elements themselves.Originally Posted by WhiteHat

Also, does anyone here have a diagram or illustration showing how the cable to the rear window defroster moves along the chassis?
Maybe there is a loose connector or break in the wire along the way.

You mention a connector to the heated rear window? There are two: one behind each rear side panel.
