Default How to install new XK8 Bumper Cover?

How hard is it to replace the bumper cover for the XK8? The mechanic I hired returned the Jag without a new cover installed.

Gave me a box of nuts and bolts, and said I have a month-long vacation planned. See you when I get back.

I found a replacement cover. Am having it painted. Since I did not remove the cover, I can use info on how to
re-install the new cover, my selfy Jag body shops won't install the cover, saying we do not do work using customer-furnished parts since
they can't guarantee the work.

Any suggestions? Bill

It's been a few years since I had mine off, but it's not very difficult. The fastener holes in the cover should make it obvious. I think it's necessary to disconnect the hood struts and lock the hood in the vertical service position. Start by placing the top fasteners, but don't tighten them as you will need to adjust the gap.
