Putting on new headliner and convertible top. Took videos of disassembly, but that was years ago and they are lost. I have the factory manual, but it's too vague: "Install the tension strings." Sure, but from where to where, secured how? Any videos, photos, or descriptions that would help would be very much appreciated -- specially with regard to tension strings, straps, cables and rods.

The interesting thing is that they said that cleaning and conditioning your existing top might work, but otherwise suggested a professional garage. Seems really Hard to gauge the tension for the fabric needed in a DIY garage job scenario.
