Six weeks off a 2000 XK8 with 63k on the clock, bought in August done 350mls, gearbox oil changed, tensioners to change, very minor leather paint repair to drivers seat wanted, have paint etc. Repaired cd player and remote fob, little patch of headliner to refix. Now in storage.

Thumbs up

190,500 miles on the original nikasil engine. Had to check my file to realize I've had it almost four years. I picked it up in Nov, '09 with 120k on the clock.
Getting some garage time this month for front control arm bushings and a few other maintenance items.
Keep driving 'em.

Mike

Had my share of the common faults for these cars, but all in all for the mileage, am still confident to use it as my daily driver for work (also as its maintained very well). Next km stone is 400.000, hope to make it, as there isn't any good alternative for me.

Drive it don't hide it. Mine is a daily driver and I wouldn't have it any other way.

127k and no qualms. If you don't count the simple and cheap leaking heater hoses under the supercharger that have kept it down, waiting for me to find time and the summer to go away so I can dismantle and get at them... Runs like a champ otherwise! It'll go back into near-daily service soon. I intend to run it awhile longer yet, maybe a lot longer. I love seeing these 150k+ reports.

115,000 miles on my 1999

I've replaced the fuel pump, upper shock mounts, and soon the front springs and shocks. Have semi auto top with hydraulic hoses to latch disconnected. Owned it for almost 3 years

118500 (had 91K when I bought) - drive daily - repairs limited to alternator, rear window regulator and hydraulic lines. Up next - upper shock mounts, front bushings and general maint. Love seeing the higher mileage listings - this is one awesome driving machine

My 2000 XKR has 86K miles, I bought with 68K in January of 2011. I love the car and drive it daily when there is no snow or salt. I'm going to keep the car for a while because I like it and it's dependable and relatively cheap to run.

I really want another sports car but I don't want to sell the XKR, so I'm going to keep it and wait until I can add a garage stall and a Lotus Esprit (Turbo SE or S4). It's really the only car I've ever owned that I haven't looked to "upgrade" from into another car. I just enjoy the crap out of it.

About 200 miles shy of 40K. History is in my signature. Multiple 200, 300, 500 mile trips in my year of owning my second XK8. I have all the confidence in the world in it now that I have had a year to crawl all over it! I would be crushed to look into a crystal ball and find that I don't get to drive this thing at least 100K!! ; )
