How Many X100 Owners Will Be Getting A F-Type When The Prices Depreciate ?
Like The Question Says. I plan on getting a F-Type V6 S Convertible when prices go under 20k hopefully in the next 4-5 years. The active exhaust is so amazing I test drove one and I must say my my my.
Heres a clip of the base V6 with muffler delete mod that exhaust is so lovely

I'm sure the F-type is a great car, but it isn't even as pretty as the x150 (which isn't as pretty as the x100), doesn't have a back seat (yes I use mine), and the only V8 is the supercharged one which probably will still be out of what I would want to spend (and the 6s, as great as they are, just don't do it for me). Plus, at 6'8" I'm not sure how well I would fit (surprisingly I fit in the x100, maybe since I'm all legs)
I'm thinking of going x150 at some point, but x100 still holds my heart. I would go XJL before F-type (which is a completely different direction)

I'm with Keith on this one. I'd choose an XJR or an XJL first, but TTYTT I'd have to find one with the burl walnut dash trim.
I was surprised recently when I looked at a Jaguar dealers showroom stock. The newest models (XJ and I think the F Types) had plastic vinyl &leather dash trim. I was unimpressed. After seeing that I listened to interviews with the Jaguar leadership more closely. One guy sounded proud they were moving away from the wood, he implied it looks too old fashioned (as in not cutting edge high tech design). That's crazy to me.
You know what, as I type this is realize how important the looks and style of my Jaguar is to me. From what I have read, the XK is more advanced in anything from a performance perspective but I'd rather have the X100 for its looks.
If I wanted a sports car, maybe the F Type but I m very happy with a GT for now.

On the one hand getting the "latest and greatest" on the resale market, when it gets affordable, is appealing. But then when I am out and park somewhere and then come back to the car, it never fails to put a smile on my face. Also it consistently gets looks from people walking by or driving by. It is not the latest and greatest but, by far, it is the most iconic aside from the E-type.

After two XK8's (2001 and 2005 Coupes), I changed to a 2007 XK Coupe three years ago. Convertibles aren't for me, that's just personal preference.
My Jaguars have always been daily drivers and also used for Continental touring. I've recently returned home after over 4000 miles across France and Spain in my XK. The luggage compartment and back seat were adequate even for my wife's luggage requirements for a month.
Earlier this year I considered trading in the XK for an F-Type and my local Jaguar Dealer had some very attractive deals.
I like the design of the F-Type Coupe (although I'm not a fan of the Callum grille) and enjoyed the driving experience. However, it's not a GT, it's a Sports Car. Great for transport from A to B but useless for carrying anything more than a weekend case.
It was interesting to see how low the mileages are on used examples. Considerably less than I'd found on XK8's and XK's. It seems many original owners have been seduced by the design but found it has practical limitations.
I've run two cars for many years and the F-Type would be a second car for me but I concluded it only made sense as a third car for occasional use when I wanted to enjoy the journey and didn't need to carry much luggage.
I'll pass on the F-Type but for now can't see anything else in the Jaguar range to tempt me and that's a sad reflection after more than forty five years of continuous Jaguar ownership.

I would pick one up in a few years, if I could source another 2003 XKR Convertible, because I plan to keep mine forever, and if it is possible to modify the front of the F-type. I would want to attach the front end body panels from the '03 XKR Donor car onto the front end of the F-Type Supercharged V8, basically everything forward of the windshield on the F-Type would be replaced with the '03 Donor car panels: the Hood/Bonnet, Wings/Fenders, Lights, and Nose Cone. Everything to meld the two cars into one, with the look of the '03 XKR in the front, and retaining the F-type's Power and Engineering throughout the car. I also think the back end on the F would mesh together well with the earlier front end design of the '03 XKR. Of course I have no idea if this is even possible.

When one pulled up next to me in my XK8 coupe at a stoplight, I thought it looked huge.
