Yikes! If all else fails, you could go to a place that sells actual touch-up paint and have them mix the correct Dorchester Gray. It would be a more correct match and still come in less than importing the Duplicolor.

Mine are starting to show their age.

I have been contemplating using a vinyl wrap after repairing the corrosion damage. Anybody try that yet?

Should be easy to match the dorchester shade of gray and also possible to add some texture like a metal grain that would help them not look so cheap. Also easy to redo/repair in the future. Perhaps wrapping the front window trim and wiper tray to match. Maybe even the metal cover along the top of the windshield.

I cant find the original post but somebody suggested electrical tape. I popped all four off of my 04 XKR. Chipped/sanded bubbles. Wiped clean. Ran electrical tape the length of the trim using care to not trap air. Put them back on car and it isn't perfect but far better than what it was before I started. Took maybe an hour total. Used dish detergent over main window sill to lubricate for reinstallation. Best part, if I'm not satisfied, pull the tape and do it again!
