A how to request.
Hi Guys!
I am replacing my side mirrors because the anti glare failed, after 16 years.
It's all good, but looking at the parts diagram It looks like you just pull the mirror and its surrounds off the clip that attaches to the motor mounts but it also looks like you might damage the motor unit or its' surrounds.
Any guidance or advice on this would be wonderful before I go in heavy handed.

The circular plastic ring on the back of the mirror is one of those that's a lot simpler to click into place than it is to separate. Here's the JTIS procedure:
