I'm getting a little play at the accelerator pedal due to play in the throttle cable. I looked into the foot well and the spring that attaches to the pedal was fine. Looking behind that confirmed it's definitely play with a throttle cable that's not taut.

Looking for a trick to tighten the cable (whether at the foot well or under the hood) or is this a fix better for a mechanic to look into. Appreciate any insight. Thanks!

On my motorcycle, I can adjust the tautness of the throttle cable myself. But then, I have a naked bike. :-)
