how to unlock my Audio system on the XK8
Hello there, i had to replace the battery and got the sound system locked, i remember when i had Xtype i used to press and hold some buttons, but here in the XK8 2004 nothing is working so far, any support will be highly appreciated,

If it's the same as my 2001 XKR you have to enter a 4 digit code into the radio.
After I disconnect my battery when I turn on the stereo the LED says "CODE" and I punch it in and all is well. In my case the code is recorded in the radio handbook.

Thanks guys. I just bought it, no cards or whatsoever. The dealer will ask 50$ at least to release code. I think with pressing some buttons it should work. Waiting your updates

Sorry you need the four figure code. Bit mean of your dealer to charge $50 to look up. Any one with WDS or IDS should be able to look it up. You could try e-mailing Jaguar customer services and you could try posting on Jaguarforum UK where there are independents who might help.
