Can anyone tell me if the item circled in the PDF file attached is a check valve or simply a nipple/connector? I hate to buy the whole assembly in box 1 if I don't need to. This is for a '97 XK8, I got the pic from the Jag parts counter.

This item on my car broke in two and it seems all I need to do is replace the connection if I can figure out how to get two hands back there .

Okay, found it, it's a check valve. This is going to be an interesting project.
