Okay so I have a 1998 jaguar xk8 convertible and I'm new with basically all of it, I was setting the break and I ended up pulling to hard on it and I heard a snap. The handle is loose with no sort of tension to it, I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix it or replace it?? It would mean a lot!

You first got to find where it broke ...so the simplest is to look underneath at the cables while someone works the handle. Could just have come detached. If its at the brake handle itself ( no movement under the car )then you need to pull the carpet back to have a look.
Clearly replace the bit that broke.
PS tell us where you live in the details top right so we know to talk in $$ or ££ and deg C or F

Be sure you understand how the release mechanism works before you 'fix' things that might not be broken.
PULL UP HARD, then push the button to release. Lower handle.
