Default I can make you jealous...

I know many of you have bagged your Jags and put them to sleep for the winter. And many of you are reading the forum this weekend while being snow bound.

But today, in So Cal not only did I get to toodle around with the top down, I just drove home at 11pm with the top still down and it's 70 degrees !

Supposed to be in the mid 80's tomorrow...

I hope you get hit with an earthquake, mudslides, wildfires, smog, traffic jams, and really nasty Santa Ana winds. It got down to 19 degrees here last night.

Not quite as warm here in Phoenix today, pretty chilly at 72. I'll try running with the top down and let you know if I can take the cold...

KevinW, Last night the wind chill factor was in single digits. May make 30 degrees today. Can't decide if we should take the '98 XK8 BRG conv 90k. or the '07 JRG x-type 40k when we go out today. Good minds think alike or at least have the same taste in cars. Jack

5 degrees tonight 20 as a high today with the wind whipping the flags around, We'll go walking in the woods tonight to walk the dog. It's beautiful when the grounds covered with snow and it's light enough because of the snow. We'll return to a fire in the fireplace. There are certain aspects of winter in the north that are fun, but I still can't wait for Spring.

O2many and Kevin are skating on very thin ice here. I'm bloody cold -3 no heat in the house due to maintenance this WE.

And to top it all, I can't stand GLOATERS!!!!

Sam, you forgot a spot of pestilence, the odd plague of locusts and the river turning to blood.

Now then where was I? LOL

12 below last night here in Southwest VT. My XK8 has been sleeping since Thanksgiving! I visit her every once in a while in the garage. It keeps the miles low and absence make the heart grow fonder. K

I'd just like to point out that Translator's -3 "translates" to about 25 degrees Fahrenheit, which is THIRTY SEVEN DEGREES WARMER than Kevin's -12.

Two different Kevins, the one posting before me is in the semi tropic temperatures, whilst the one posting after, is in the realm of the Ice Road guys. And yes that is pretty chilly.

Call it karma or cosmic accounting or whatever, but our tormentors may be tempting fate. They may someday be called to account for abusing us poor, wretched snow-belt residents.

These cars of ours, with all of their "breakables", would be formidable weapons in the hands of the car gods, should they decide to dispense a little retribution.

Repent!

(24 degrees F.)

Ha - I can make all y'all jealous.

Not only was it a picture-perfect 73 here yesterday in South Florida when I drove my baby with its top down to the Palm Beach International Raceway ...but then I got to put a 2011 XKR (coupe, of course) through its paces on the track in a performance driving event hosted by Jaguar. Pretty sweet at 146 MPH

You hijacked my idea about "Daily Drivers" which evolved into driving in the snow!!!!

Was getting reports about driving in the snow...you and I have it made. Has been rather cold in Florida last couple days, and freezing before that, but nicer this weekend. The lettuce crop is damaged along with citrus.

See my thread and questions about dealing with road salt???

Pardon me if I snicker a little at the ice and snow some of you guys have had down south. But, you've still got it made. It is -3 here in Nebraska this morning, going to be -12 tomorrow. And to think, as near as I can recall, I moved here of my own free will. From southern Calif.!!!!!!!!!!!! What the hell was I thinking?????????
Enjoy your nice weather...dammit.

You were probably thinking (quite correctly) that Kalifornia is going down the tubes! But, oh yes, we do have good weather.
