Count, I was in Longwood yesterday having my XKR tweaked at All Jaguar. They are a father and son business that has been repairing Jags for over 30 years. They may know of this particular car. If you are serious give them a call: 407-830-5245. I watched them do an evaluation of a 2006 XKR Vert. a few weeks back for a midwest buyer. They are very thorough and their price are quite reasonable.

Cheers

It's a fair price, your wife's is a year older but with less miles so that about cancels. If you're interested, offer them $27k, they might take it.

Same year 2005 Half the Miles,,, and ALL the options,,,The friggen windshield is heated ,,,,over $3000.00 to replace it... Who needs that in Florida,,, But In NC I do...

Plus it is Jaguar Racing Green which is a more rare color than Black... So I raise your bid and throw in a few more more BURGANDY POKER CHIPS,,,

Sorry, I thought you were looking at a 2006; $29k for a 2005 is a little high, not outrageous, but a little high. You can probably do better. Have you tried eBay?

Count, there are currently 2 XKRs on eBay, a 2005 w/ 14k miles for $33.9k (a little high but they will take an offer):

Jaguar : XKR Jaguar : XKR | eBay

and another 2005 w/ 19k miles for $29.98k (they are also taking bids):

Jaguar : XKR Jaguar : XKR | eBay

Both are in Houston, TX.

Nice Cars But I want a Coupe... Very rarely do you see a nice convertable down here with the top down,,, Other than maybe a Porsche... Really is to hot most of the time and the last thing I want to down is sit on a hot Leather seat and start to sweat...

We are having a cold snap right now thou 72 degrees as we speak 50's tonight... So maybe today would be a nice day to drive by the beach in a convertable...

Gotcha, I'll keep my eyes open. I love the coupes as well, I think they look better than the convertibles. Love yours, British Racing Green and those 20" wheels! One of the sharpest car's I've seen on this forum.

I think this is an XK8, the ad doesn't state, but it is a coupe with only 21k miles:

Details of Used 2006 Jaguar XK, Tyler, TX - Yahoo! Autos

"your wife is a year older but with less miles so that about cancels."

I didn't know you could get the mileage reading on a wife?
Where do you read that gauge?
Is there a way to reset it?

Really is too hot most of the time and the last thing I want to sit down on is a hot Leather seat and start to sweat...

You don't fool us we know the PBTW makes you sit on a towel anyway!!

See my post to Norri's new XK8 convertible RE fliptops in the South:

"Now you have a winter car for Phoenix, about the only time you can put the top down without scorching the top half of yourself.

Great color. And great interior color, ivory yes, for Phoenix so when you sit down you don't scorch the bottom half of yourself."

So Count just get yourself a light interior and a big towel and you will be fine in a convertible.

Makes you wonder though doesn't it?

Your wife is in Vegas and Norri was just there too and ends up with the car......coincidence??

How is the boat while she is gone?
You could cruise over to the Bahamas for a week.
Do you have wifi for the boat too?

I am timing your response with four screens going.

cheers,

jj

The 05-06's are really really nice. They're definitely worth the premium over the 97-03's, at least, in my opinion. I think low mileage is really going to cost you on these.

The only real problem left on these things is the green shower of death.

Boats the Ex-brother in laws,,, and always available, being I am the Capt... 100 ton Master Captain USCG
Bahamas??? Lets go 57 miles $350 to clear customs,,, $2-$3 Lobster tails and .75 cent Conch from the Locals...

No WiFi at the dock here thou... at the Tiki Bar yes but I do not want to sit in Public and Trade my accounts... Especially around Drunks...

Plus I need to be hard wired for security and for the speed...
