Default I got the 2001 XKR running finally

I had to replace both fuel pumps, and let me tell you it was a b...ch!! I ended up not only dropping the rear suspension a few inches, but I had to cut an access hole in the package tray. Once in there I found evidence that I was not the first. One of the two lines were bent at an odd angle and it made getting it loose and then putting it back in almost (but not quite) impossible. The pumps I got at NAPA for around $85.00 each. They were not a perfect fit, the connectors were different. But it was an easy modification. After a few seconds of cranking it fired right up and sounds pretty good. Very quiet compared to my XK8.

But now I have a regular parade of error messages prancing across my screen. The one that concerns me first is "Transmission over heated". I know this can't be true because it was just started up. Then it says"drivetrain error". However it runs and shifts just fine. Any idea where I can start looking for this problem? It also says "restricted performance". But so far no sign of that, it seems to have plenty of spunk.
I would hate to give up on this car, it really is a car with potential.

Lanny, this sounds like low battery issues. I assume you disco'd the battery for the job. Any chance you just have a bad connection? Maybe try a hard reset too?

I hope this is a simple fix for you mate.

I always start with OBD reader info...to help diagnose such warning messages

Thank you Cfpena. I agree, but unfortunatly I can't read any codes with my scanner. I don't know if maybe it has to have been running for awhile longer for the CPU to register some codes or if I have a wiring problem. The only thing I have to go on at the moment is what comes up on the information screen in the dash. I am not giving up yet.
