I have heard any advice. Please help
Hello this is vincente
I recently asked if anyone had information on why my 99 xk8 won't get spark. It has power to the coils. It cranks but the coils are not sparking. On the 4 wires to the coils I'm getting volts. Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for on the three other wires on the coils?

You probably didn't get any replies on your other thread because it was in the introduction forum.
Are all 8 of your coils not producing spark? Do you have any codes related to this?
I'm sure someone will be along with more information for you.
Hello everyone
I recently acquired a 1999 xk8 convertible with 100000 miles on it. The car is in great shape in and out. The person I got it from stated it needed duel pump but after changing the relay it came on. I then checked pressure on the fuel rail. It was good. I then checked for spark with a spark tester but I didn't have spark.I then checked fire to coil pack. I have fire going to the coil packs. I then changed the crank sensor and both cam sensors. The car always turned over but never had spark. Any suggestions

Hi Vincente,
i wonder how you've checked the crank sensor because you need an oscilloscope to do that. Although i've seen failing crank sensors with fine sinus waves but to low voltage.
Best advice is get the car diagnosed with no other then WDS/IDS/SDD.

I suspect you may want to link this thread to your other one about code P1260, which is the cause of the symptoms you describe. You can change as many sensors as you like, but if the car has an immobiliser fault it is not going to start.
