I'm pulling my hair out over this car!!!
It's been a about 6 weeks since my '98 xk8 has been down. Won't start. towed it to ******* (Jag dealer for newbies) I was told I needed a engine management harness. well they don't make them any more and say for me to look around for a used 1.(cost $250-400 for a used 1 from junk yard a.k.a. salvage yard, e-bay) and I knew I had 1 wire on em13 plug had a bad connection. well not wanting to put anymore money into this piece of..... I towed car back home. then I searched the internet for a new em13 plug. Its a 34 way multi-lock-40 female connector well after about 4 hrs I found it but no one had any in stock except tyco electronics. So I posed as a company interested in buying some 'cause there was a 500 mim. order and I only needed 1 so I reguest a sample and they sent me 1 free. So I fixed the by taking out pins 1 by 1 and any that I damaged (3) I had some from pins another similar connector pins from a lexes cause they use same connectors and denso ecm and I now have no codes at all or mesages on dash but dam junk still has no spark. Could it be a security issue? has very good gas pressure like 43 lbs and very good crank and no codes at all. go figuer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I checked the relays for injectors,tps and both have 3 sides that have good voltage when ignition is on but relay for ignition has 2 with good voltage and 1 weak 1 which is the black and blue wire which goes to em13 to or from relay which happens to be the 1 for spark, but why? (I think)

Yes, describe the 'start' in more detail. Did you try to charge your battery first? With so many attempts to start it, and during the pre-electrical fix, you could have drained it to the point that it won't turn the starter. Fuel pumps sure...but not the starter. Try that.
New battery, and no I didnt kill it I know that if it didnt start after a bout 10 cranks it's not going to. I tried with starting fluid just to make sure. It does have good /fast crank but I dont think white wash causes no spark or no voltage coming into ignition modules. I really think its a security thing because my battery did go dead

Do you have more than one key? I'm not sure about the 98 XK8's, but most newer cars have a transponder chip in the key which communicates with the car's security system. If the security system doesn't read the chip, then the car won't start. Try using a different key just in case. Maybe the chip in your main key went bad.
