Install of EverLift, EE-6503 In-ground scissor lift
I've been looking at installing a lift since the house was remodeling adding an 1100sf / 12' high garage. Great effort was made to engineer this space without any columns or supporting walls... just open clear space. So 2 and 4 post lifts were down on my priorities. Then Gus sent a link showing these new-style inground scissors lifts; and my decision was made.
Holden Engineering did the turnkey job. Delivered, setup and test complete in my already prepared pits for just under $3900 FL tax incl. Figure another $500 to prepare lift pits and the total cost completed ready to go was about $4500.
I am pretty mechanically inclined, and have done all my own auto work for the last fifty years. But this install requires some heavy lifting, and complex hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic tasking. Plus just getting it into the garage requires major lifting capacities. My advice to most guys is to use an installer who will deliver.
I did most of the background research on GarageJournal.com and found a nearby (100 mi) distributor/installer in Orlando, Holden Engineering. They receive bulk shipments of these units from China, and have performed many installs both home and commercial. I cannot recommend Phil Holden highly enough. He worked closely with me from the very beginning to insure a successful project. Thanks again Phil.
