Intercooler hose clamp interference with hood (normal?)
I've got the typical saggy hood liner problem where it rubs on the intercoolers but today I noticed that the spring clamps that hold the intercooler hoses were also rubbing, in one case to the point of cutting through the liner and scraping the metal. The worst cut was on the right most clamp but the left most was second so I'm not sure that I can conclude that engine torque is playing a roll here.
These were all clamped on such that the tangs pointing up and they were about as high as they could possibly be. I rotated them to the sides (I could do it with my fingers) so that at least the sharp bits aren't pointing up but I was wondering...
Is that interference normal or does it suggest a bad motor mount or something along those lines?
I peered down along the left hand side and the mount looks in decent shape and doesn't appear to have leaked or anything. The right hand side is more difficult without removing the intake tube so I'm less sure of the health of that one.
Thanks.
