Default Interior facelift with seat paint

Hey All

After re dyeing/painting my drivers seat bolster I decided to try the paint on some other parts of the interior. I tried to look at the interior of the car like it was the first time I had seen it. I noticed that some of the plastic pieces had started to yellow and fade.I prepped each piece with alcohol then applied the paint with a small piece of foam. I have no doubt it will adhere well to plastic considering it sticks very well to vinyl seats Once these pieces cure I will spray on some clear to protect them. I think I just knocked some of the old out of my car.

Looking a bit tired

Much better

These seat belt guides were really yellowed and faded

I was very happy with the seat results.

I ordered a seat touch up kit from Seat Doctors. 4oz (Jaguar Dove) about $25. Apply it with a piece of foam sponge and it comes out perfect. The bottle looks small but I did all the items pictured with about a third of the bottle. The stuff covers really well and goes a long way.

I did a similar job using HiTech industries vynil, plastic and carpet dye spray bottle. Dove Grey as well. Good color match and looks good. Cant speak of longevity, but so far so good. Warning: once you start with one part, you keep finding other parts that need refreshing....
