Default Interior light cluster

G'day all -

The overhead interior light/remote unit on my '00 XK8 has been "falling out." The plastic piece that it snaps into is cracked/broken.

Anyone know a good source to replace this part?

Thanks,

Tom

Do you still have all the plastic bits? I have had success repairing these with JB-Weld (the regular, not the quick set). Roughen up the bondng surface lightly with sandpaper first and let it set a good 24 hours.

Thanks White! Unfortunately I dont have the pieces. I tried some double stick foam tape but it kept falling down. I just glued installed some velcro type strips like those that hold on an EZ Pass, but I'd like to get it back the way it belongs.

Is it the black plastic piece that is bolted in the car or the console with the lights that has the damage? Also the console with the lights should have 3 metal clips on the plastic.

White - it is the piece that is attached to the car. The console with the 3 metal clips is in tact. Thanks, Tom

I just had to buy one from the dealer it's cheap $19.00. If it has any age to it the heat kills it. And the rag top and hard top are not the same part. This is the black part that holds the wires too.
