Intermittent Driver side door and window problems
If you have a window that won’t roll down, and driver side window / mirror switch that won’t function reliably, don’t buy a door module immediately.
First locate the door connector that is between the hinges. The connector unscrews which reveals gleaming electrical contacts. But some of them may be dull or tarnished. Or even have a greenish residue on them.
Take some CRC Electrical Cleaner and spray the contacts (both sides of the connector) liberally and wipe with a clean microfiber cloth. Spray again to remove any persistent debris. Let dry and reassemble.
Thats all it took to get my window switch back in working order.
With winter and wet weather coming on, it pays to give these connections some attention before the winter elements creep in.
