No.
Position it under the sill jacking point.

I would avoid jacking or supporting anywhere on the aluminium crossmember.

You can also use the radiator support if you're confident of its integrity.

Thank you!
I've followed the suggestions in this video with no trouble.

That is the recommended Jaguar method for jacking up both front wheels but, unless you take precautions then, in most cases, you will crack the plastic valance. People have successfully used wood with a slit across it to protect the vertical strip but I take the "no risk" approach and simply remove the valance and the use a block of wood against the metal crossmember to spread the load.

If I want to only jack up one wheel but can't use the sill jacking point, I use a low-profile trolley jack with a block of wood to spread the load right up against the inside of the tyre so the wood is under the lower ball joint and as close to the wheel hub as possible. It's not the recommended method but, bearing in mind the vertical loads experienced through that joint when hitting a bump in the road, I reckon that the weight of one side is well within spec and over 25 years of this method suggests that it is acceptable.

I use a wooden 2x4 about 24 inches long placed below the aluminum crossmember to spread the load. Always done it that way since purchasing the vehicle in early February 2012. Works for me....
