Default Trolley jack.

Good afternoon. Where are the safe places to raise the car on a trolley jack as i am not to keen on using the scissor jack. Many thanks. Anthony.

Look in the vehicle's Owner's Manual for instructions on correctly positioning a jack and stands.

You would be well advised to get two low profile trolley jacks...If you jack up one corner the body is so stiff that you lift the other side as well which I dont like due to the twisting loads . I always use two one each side .. at $40 each not a big deal.

Floor jack, load spreader, low, medium and high ramps, jack stand or a combination thereof - I'll use anything that's stable and safe.

oops.......guilty

.......and I never jack at the jacking points or front crossmembers, jack the chassis rails using a floor jack load spreader or a lateral length of 4 x 4 and 2 floor jacks.

Ant...I have a pair of giant ramps which include hydraulic pistons giving another 4 in of lift. I am in rugby £100 cash collected or anybody else.

If you fancy a 3,000 mile round trip to the south of Spain, I'll buy them.
